Josh Casorso, a member of Willow Park's short-term India team, has sustained a serious injury while in India. The details, as provided by his dad, John Casorso and Lawrence East, WillowParks Mission director, are as follows:

• Josh and others were traveling by train to a wedding October 6th. When the train came to a stop at a marshalling yard, many passengers climbed out of the windows, as is common in such a situation

• While on the outside of the train car, electricity from the overhead wires (trolley wires to power the train) arced from above him to his large belt buckle

• Josh has sustained serious burns, with 60% of the exterior of his body being affected, with his body actually being on fire. As well, as with all electrocution injuries, internal damage is sustained, as the current travels inward. These internal injuries are very susceptible to infection. Reports say that he was struck by 45,000 volts, which normally would result in loss of life

• After initial lack of care, Josh was taken to a Christian hospital in the area, where he is receiving what Lawrence East would describe as the best medical care in the country. Costs for such service are about $1,000/day. After some initial bureaucratic issues, the insurance company has now stepped in and his costs are being covered. His condition has been stabilized, with the next 10 days being critical. He will likely need some extensive plastic surgery, which will mean being medivaced to Vancouver.

• As far as the others there are concerned, reports are that the three other young men that were with Josh at the time of the injury "were heroes", tending to his needs on the scene. IAN SHARP, group leader, assures us that all are safe and functioning well, being pretty busy with the routines of their mission.

• John Casorso will be leaving ASAP for India

ok well.....i havent used xanga in a long time....but yeah i guess i'll start using it again....hahaha even tho i dont really remember anymore how to use it lol...anywhoooo..well summer has been good i must say...i went to cadiz for 2 weeks.....and i've bin hanging out with people, specially lisa lol she's awesome.and yeah......hope you all have a good rest of teh summer and dont think of skool k? byebye

hey guys...yah...its time to update....lol

well this weekend was really funn!i went to tarragona to a retreat with lisa's and courtnie's mission....and we went to PORT AVENTURA!and that was really funnn!!!then we also went to the beach...and i didnt get very burnt!yay for me!lol n yeah....sunday night i stayed up all night with lisa,danika and trey...twas funn!and we saw the sunrise even tho we were prety tired lol and on the way back...i had so much fun with susie and lisa dude...hahaha!yes yes....anywho my weekend was awesome....so yeah today was pretty much for homework....i hav to do my science project...the CN tower.....so byeeeeee!

btw...my birthday is on saturday!!!!!!!!woohoooooooo!!
